The Dining with Diabetes program is offered as a series of four weekly classes and one follow up class after three months.

Mondays in June: 1, 8, 15, 22 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

*Follow up session: September 21

LOCATION:

Eastern Shore Area Health Center,  814 Chesapeake Drive, Cambridge, MD 21613

Each in-person session includes diabetes education and food tastings.

This program is led by Registered Dietitians and trained University of Maryland Extension Educators in consultation with Registered Dietitians.

The Stormwater Infrastructure Resilience and Justice Lab invites all graduate and undergraduate students to:

Workshop: Internet of Things (IoT) Stormwater Training 

📅 Date: Thursday, April 30, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 – 3:30 PM  
📍 In-person: Preinkert Hall, Room 1224 (SIRJ Lab Room, University of Maryland)
👨‍🏫 Speakers: SIRJ Lab Research Team

💧 Students will earn a certificate, and have the opportunity to collaborate further by participating in hands-on experiences in IoT and stormwater infrastructure research. 
 

As part of this workshop, you will learn about the applications of IoT on campus stormwater management, take part in hands-on activities related to environmental monitoring and IoT sensor systems, and you will be asked to complete short pre- and post-event surveys about your knowledge, perceptions, and learning outcomes.
 

Students with no field work experience are welcome. The workshop will have outdoor fieldwork activities, students are encouraged to come with weather-appropriate clothing. 

It will be really fun! Full details are in the flyer attached.
