Carrie Sorenson is a tenure track Family and Consumer Sciences Agent in the Northern cluster. She works in the Carroll County Office and focuses on Financial Literacy and Financial Wellness. She has worked for UME since 2017, but began her current position in 2022. Her major educational programs focus on Financial Literacy and Health Insurance Literacy with topics including:

Additional background information: Carrie began her career with UME in a professional track position with FCS in Frederick County. During that time, she taught a variety of financial literacy, health insurance literacy, and wellness programs. Carrie became an Accredited Financial Counselor in 2021 after passing the comprehensive financial knowledge exam and completing 1,000 supervised experience hours. Prior to working for UME, Carrie graduated from George Washington University in 2016 with her Master’s in Public Health. She also received a Bachelors of Science from West Virginia University in 2014 with a focus on Sport and Exercise Psychology.
