Please mark your calendars for the first Maryland 4-H Engineering Camp.

When:  April 16 – 18, 2010

Where: Harford County 4-H camp at the Rocks

Who:     All 4-H intermediates and seniors, and any adult leader interested in learning about the engineering projects to start a county program

What:    Campers will have the opportunity to get hands on introductions to at least three of the 4-H engineering projects.  Project areas include: large tractor operation, lawn tractor, bicycle, small engines, energy/electricity, and welding.

The purpose of this camp is to introduce our 4-Hers to the engineering projects and to increase the participation at the state fair.

Please take a few minutes to respond to these questions:
  1. What engineering programs are you currently providing in your county?
  2.  Do you have any volunteers who would be willing to spend the weekend sharing their knowledge with our campers and adults interested in starting a program?
  3. What are your biggest obstacles to running an engineering project in your county?
  4. What are your biggest obstacles to sending 4-Hers to the State Fair Engineering Contest?
Please send your responses to Dwayne Murphy at dmurphy2@umd.edu .
