Scheduling of the Plant Sciences Interactive Video Classroom will be determined through a proposal process. Faculty are invited to submit proposals in two categories: Regularly scheduled credit courses and short-term use for seminars, workshops and meetings.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Plant Sciences Interactive Video Classroom Steering Committee. This committee is comprised of faculty and administrators from departments in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the College of Life Sciences as well as Maryland Cooperative Extension and the Agricultural Experiment Station.

Support

Faculty using the Plant Sciences Interactive Video Classroom can expect to have an experienced support person available in an adjacent room at all times. Training for faculty scheduled to use the room during the Spring 2003 and Fall 2003 semesters will be offered as needed.  Faculty are encouraged to take part in orientation meetings and meetings between the other faculty members using the Plant Sciences Interactive Video Classroom.

Teaching Assistants

We strongly suggest that you have a teaching assistant for the course at each of your remote locations. This is a requirement at several of the Interactive Video Classrooms supported by the University System of Maryland Interactive Video Network.
