Interactive videoconferencing is an effective tool that may be used
for collaborative meeting and distance education environments. AGNR
has videoconference-meeting rooms located throughout the state. The
H.323 (video over IP) compliant technology in these rooms combined
with the University of Maryland System supported Interactive Video
Network enables point-to-point and multipoint conferencing that can
be effectively utilized without incurring usage fees.
Interactive videoconferencing can also be integrated into distance
learning courses with minimal adaptation to the curriculum and is
designed to support two-way video and audio communication between
multiple locations.
