Dairy Gross Margin Numbers / Swine Gross Margin Fact Sheet

We believe our challenge is to help producers to focus on information that leads them to the right decision for a possible enrollment decision in October (the next expected enrollment period due to new FY finding). Many folks are expecting a large enrollment in October. If that occurs, it would be prudent for producers to contact agents well ahead of the enrollment period to get the full details necessary to understand the dairy insurance program and to schedule an appointment with the agent so that they are assured a time slot to finalize their enrollment decision before the sales closing date and time.

The attachments include the early estimates flyer, the WI Analyzer (gives the ability to easily calculate estimated numbers anytime you want them), updated presentation PP, and several snapshots of past DGM performance opportunities. Keep in mind, that the motivation to purchase should be driven by the desire to manage risk if the margins from the marketplace take a down turn. The performance snapshots indicate how different enrollment strategies could have responded when the results from the market place were less than the selected DGM guarantee.
