Maryland Cooperative Extension is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, land-grant universities and local governments in each state. Faculty and staff of the Maryland Cooperative Extension (MCE) provide research-based information, educational programs and services on a variety of subjects.
Agriculture: Crop Production, Integrated Pest Management, Farm Financial Management, Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management, Master Gardener Program.
Family and Consumer Science: Food Safety in the Community, Food Pyramid, Parental Programs and Healthy Home Programs.
4-H and Youth: Programs for youth in 4-H Clubs (ages 8-18) and Clovers (age 5-7)
Horticulture: Home gardens, trees, plants, lawns, pests - provided by the MCE Home & Garden Information Center or call 1-800-342-2507 in Maryland. Outside Maryland call 410-531-1757. Extension Publications: List of available free fact sheet, bulletins, paid publications.
