Department of Health Offers FREE Flu Vaccine at Community Walk-In Clinics
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health will provide seasonal flu vaccinations at walk-in clinics. No appointment is required. Vaccinations are free, however, donations are appreciated. Both the injectable and the nasal-spray vaccines will be available. The nasal spray vaccine is for healthy people ages 2 to 49, but it is not for pregnant women. Pneumococcal vaccine will also be available.
The following clinics will be held at the Health Services Building, 3 Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis:
- September 20: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
- September 27: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
- October 4: 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
- October 11: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
- October 25: 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
- November 15: 4 to 7 p.m.
Beginning September 14, the Department of Health will also provide flu and pneumococcal vaccinations at the following locations during weekly walk-in clinics (except for holidays):
- Glen Burnie Health Center, 416 A Street, S.W., Glen Burnie, Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., 410-222-6633
- Parole Health Center, 1950 Drew Street, Annapolis, Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m., 410-222-7247
The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the flu vaccine for anyone 6 months of age and older. For more information, visit the Department’s website at
