What: The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation help to low-to-moderate income people. If your family earns less than $50,000 per year, you can receive FREE tax help and get your 2011 federal and state refunds quickly through “e-filing.”
University of Maryland Extension hosts the free income tax preparation day in partnership with Center for Healthy Families, Community Action Agency Montgomery County, the IRS, and Maryland CASH.
