Your Community

Become an active participant of the Maryland State Government. Follow the links from the Maryland Electronic Capital to learn all about issues concerning Maryland residents. Visit your county's home page and involve yourself in local issues. You can even send mail to Governor Glendening. 

 
Your Club

Your club is a great place to start becoming an active citizen. Clubs are based on a democratic sysetem with a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and more offices. All club activities and decisions are voted on by the members using proper parlimentary procedure. Clubs can get involved by supporting the community. Some clubs collect trash along roads, visit nursing homes, or even visit local government meetings.
 

You can get involved yourself! There are lots of ways you can make a difference just by acting on your own. Here are some things you can do:

Help Someone Have a Happy Holiday

Help put families under a roof.

Help End Hunger.
