Scholarships in the amounts of $2,000 will be provided to the highest scoring individual senior judging contestant in ten events. If the highest scoring senior individual has received the scholarship in prior years, the scholarship will not be awarded to the highest scoring individual in that judging area. The next highest scoring senior individual will be the scholarship recipient. Scholarships will be awarded in the following areas.
1. Must be enrolled in a Maryland county or city 4-H program. 2. Is an active participant in the program area of the contest. 3. Must be a Senior 4-H member, as of January 1 of the current year. 4. Is the highest scoring scenior individual in the contest area. 5. Must not have received the scholarship in the contest area in prior years. 6. Is eligible to compete for the scholarship in any contest areas other than contest areas in which the participants have won a scholarship. 7. In each contest area, the second highest scoring senior individual receives the scholarship, if the highest scoring senior won in a prior year. 8. Scholarships will be held by the Baltimore Community Foundation until the scholarship recipient enters an educational program at an accredited school or university. 9. Funds will be transferred to the school or university upon proper notification to the General Manager of the Maryland State Fair. |
