researchers, practitioners, and leaders from various organizations at the

Provide leadership
for recruiting, hiring, supervising and evaluating faculty and staff.

team of the USDA Healthy People...Healthy Communities Extension initiative.

Region State 4-H Leader representative to the National 4-H Strategic Design
team and serve as chair-elect of the National 4-H SDT.

Coordinate MCE
Volunteer Policy, develop educational materials, provide updates for faculty
and assess the counties' and Baltimore City's volunteer policy and risk
management plans (excludes ACA standards.)

Develop, implement,
and evaluate expansion of volunteers to new audiences (includes youth and
adults) and strengthen existing partnerships while providing state, regional
and county leadership development trainings. Includes volunteer promotion
and marketing during Maryland State Fair.
-
Co-chair of the
Volunteer Development Curriculum Committee.
-
Identify, develop,
implement and evaluate training, curriculum and resources for volunteers
(volunteer handbook.)
-
Analyze and respond
to concerns expressed by volunteers, parents, members and others regarding
the volunteer management of the program.

Responsible for
coordinating the State 4-H administrative response to legal and liability
issues related to the 4-H program.
-
Communicate regularly
with volunteers through a variety of media including a quarterly newsletter
and a volunteer e-mail listserv.
-
Serve as the state
contact for the Northeast Leader's Forum.
-
Liaison to the
State Volunteers Association, State Leader's Forum, Volunteer Development
Curriculum Committee, and member of the Governor's Committee on Volunteerism
and Volunteers.

Assist county
faculty and volunteers to establish effective 4-H volunteer boards, councils
and committees.

Coordinate revision
and printing of assigned MCE publications.
