The Meditation Garden was placed in memory of "Daddy Jenks" by the Maryland 4-H Club Allstars for individuals and groups to go to find peace and inspiration; to commune with God and nature as "Daddy Jenks" so often loved to do.

In his words:  "I urge you to find ways and means to keep the vigil; to learn to listen and to meditate; to permit the flow of universal prayer; to relax and to receive; to find your own significance as a 'Son of God'."

In 2001, the Maryland 4-H Club All-Stars undertook the project of refurbishing the Meditation Garden so that visitors to National 4-H Council would have a place for reflection.

The Park was rededicated April 6, 2002(photos)!
