Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!  The Maryland 4-H Horse Jamboree is coming up soon! 
All 4-H horse project members and horse lovers (Age 8-18 as of January 1, 2001) are invited.
REGISTRATION & RELEASE FORMS ARE DUE JUNE 22, 2001!
When?
Youth & Adult Participants should plan to arrive at 8:30 am on tuesday, July 10th.  Dismissal will be after dinner, around 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, July 11th. For a complete schedule of events, click here.

And that's not all . . .there will be both Fun & Educational Workshops with a variety of topics, including: 
Vital Signs, Barn Safety, Horse Anatomy, Make it, Take it, Quiz Bowl, Blemishes and Unsoundness.
Plus a special invitation to Adult volunteers and junior leaders - you are invited to attend the Maryland 4-H Horse Advisory Forum Meeting on tuesday evening, July 10, 7:00 pm at the fairgrounds.
Details, Details, Details:
This overnight program is designed to gibe youth an opportunity to not only demonstrate their existing horse knowledge 
but to learn new ideas and skills all while having fun. The program is open to all Maryland 4-H Members, ages 8-18 as of 
January 1, 2001.  Participants will be staying the night in one of the buildings at the fairgrounds.  The buildings have cement floors - so be sure to ring a sleeping bag and/ or cot, pillows, blankets, etc., as these items ill not be provided.  Limited shower facilities are available but be sure to bring a towel!
Chaperons:
Each participating county/city 4-H Office must provide one (1) Maryland Cooperative Extension (MCE) Volunteer or Employee Adult Chaperon for every ton (10) 4-Hers.  Chaperons must register using the enclosed registration form. 4-Hers must indicate on their registration form the name of their chaperon.
Registration Fee:
The 2-Day Registration fee of $35.00 includes lunch and dinner on Tuesday and all 3 meals on Wednesday.  A 1-day registration fee of $20.00 is available for those planning to attend only 1-day.
WHAT TO BRING:
* Personal hygiene items, towels & soap * Appropriate Clothes
* Sturdy shoes (no sandals or bare feet will be allowed) *Sleeping bag, cot, pillow
* Demonstration materials and posters, if competing. * Flashlight
Note:  Medication must be in original prescription container with clear directions for administering by the medial officer on site.
