What Can I Do in 4-H?

For many youth, 4-H Aquatic Science and Natural Resources activities are their first exposure to fishing and the outdoors. As part of the University of Maryland, 4-H is able to utilize the expertise of faculty in areas of interest to members. Dr. Tom Hartsock, a professor at the University of Maryland College of Agriculture, teaches thousands of 4-H members the importance of proper livestock care and management. 4-H'ers learn proper care and proper ethics in raising animals as pets and projects. |
Maryland 4-H Youth Development programs and activities are open to all youth between the ages of 5 and 18 without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, or national origin.
