4-H is the largest youth organization in the United States of America.
Maryland 4-H offers programs for youth ages 5 - 19 years old. Whether you live in Baltimore, Ocean City, or Cumberland, you are eligible for 4-H.
Over 52,000 youth are participating in 4-H programs throughout the state of Maryland.
A wide range of projects are available in the following areas:
Head--4-H teaches youth decision making skills that help them to become productive members of society.
Heart--Through 4-H, youth learn to appreciate and care about others.
Hands--Youth learn to work for their benefits, and for the benefit of the world around them.
Health--4-H introduces youth to the benefits of fitness and good nutrition.
The 4-H colors are Green & White. The green represents the color of spring and young life. The white represents the purity of youth.

Volunteers! Adults, teen leaders, parents, teachers, and others in the community volunteer their time to benefit youth, our future.
The Land Grant institution, University of Maryland, county, state, and Federal government through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Many private sector business donors support 4-H on the county, state, and national level. Many private individuals also support 4-H. The Maryland 4-H Foundation gives leadership to resource development for 4-H.
