The Maryland Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, which is sanctioned by the Student Government Association (SGA), welcomes all students. The group draws on the 100-year heritage of the ASLA and its professional activities and traditions. Club activities include bi-monthly meetings, fundraising events, guest lecture sponsorship, and community service projects. Members have the opportunity to participate in national and international conferences and competitions. The annual student-organized "LAbash" conference takes place at a different university each year and is a much-anticipated spring semester event.
