Nora Jansen Shank, RD, 2004
Nora  Nora Jansen Shank completed the Dietetics Program at University of Maryland College Park in 2004 and went onto a Dietetic Internship at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, MD.  Nora has worked for the past five years as a Clinical Dietitian with two Catholic Healthcare West Hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona; and is a private consultant with Anderson's Nutrition. She is also certified as an adult weight management specialist through the American Dietetic Association. Nora's passion is to make nutrition accessible and applicable to everyone; she draws from her clinical expertise and her experience as a successful caterer to empower people towards optimal nutrition. She is dedicated to provide nutrition education to people of all ages -- from piloting preschool nutrition programs in childcare to seminars for seniors-- by building community partnerships, regular public speaking and writing.
University of Maryland provided me with the basics of applied nutritionthat I was able to hone in my internship and use in my currentpositions. It provided me with classes that helped to prepare me for awide range of experience in the nutrition field-- both communitynutrition, food service and clinical dietetics.             --Nora Jansen Shank, RD
