Qualifications: Required Skills: US citizenship; valid driver`s license; ability and willingness to undergo a required criminal history background check; ability to work with minimal supervision in areas with poisonous plants and animals, allergens, temperature extremes and inclement weather. Desired Skills: Ability to drive 4WD and manual transmission vehicles; minimum of 2 years college coursework in areas related to wildlife management/biology, natural resources, or other biological sciences.

Description: NAS Patuxent River Located in St. Mary's County, Maryland, at the confluence of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, Naval Air Station Patuxent River comprises approximately 9,000 total acres. Land use/cover here is a mixture of urban development, forests, agricultural lands and tidal water bodies. The primary mission at the Installation involves research, development, testing and evaluation of Naval aircraft and aircraft systems. Conduct/organize deer spotlight counts, 70%; care for live animals in education center, 10%; assist bird banding intern, 10%; assist with other seasonal projects as necessary, 10%.
