Description: We are currently interviewing people to be on the staff in the 2009 season. Someone with at least one season of experience on a similar farm and who can work for at least three months would be ideal. Interning at Jug Bay Market Garden is a good opportunity for someone interested in learning how to run a diversified, organic vegetable and flower farm. Work on the farm involves a mix of activities from seeding, cultivating to harvesting. We offer housing and a stipend to interns who can commit to working for more than a month. The stipend is negotiable according to experience. To find out more about interning, please contact us by phone or email. In addition to intern farmers, we welcome people to come help and learn for shorter periods during the season. For short term volunteers, we can offer you room and board in exchange for helping out on the farm.
