Description: There are 3 positions available
Comments: Interns will be involved in the daily maintenance of two golf courses, North and South, and will work closely with the superintendent and all the assistants. Interns will learn: labor management, fertilizer/pesticide calibration, fertilizer/pesticide applications, course setup, irrigation repair, disease identification, water management, Toro Site-Pro Network VP irrigation system.
Woodmont is a private club with two 18 hole championship golf courses designed by Alfred Tull. The North Course was built in 1951 and has ryegrass fairways, and the South Course was built in 1955 and has zoysiagrass fairways. A new Toro Site-Pro irrigation system was installed on the North Course during the winter of 2007 and USGA greens were completed in the fall of 2007, on the North Course. Woodmont is an annual host for the Men's and Women's U.S. Open Qualifiers. Woodmont is located just outside of Washington D.C. in Rockville, Maryland and is within walking distance to the subway.
